Badung Market has existed since the Dutch era. It used to be called the Payuk Market because it was a place where potter from Binoh Ubung village sold various kinds of pottery, ranging from pane, gebeh, pot to piggy bank and caratan. Then when the independence era, Payuk Market turned into a Badung market.
